WATCH FEATURED VIDEO ON YOUTUBE →Solar-SNAP® is a highly reflective, perforated radiant barrier designed for attic installations. Its patented integrated spring-steel battens make installation faster and help hold the material securely in place—without the conventional staple-up fastening process.
By reflecting up to 97% of radiant heat, Solar-SNAP helps reduce radiant heat transfer through the roof assembly, supporting improved energy efficiency and indoor comfort. The material can also be removed and reinstalled for inspections, cleaning, or repairs.
An easier-to-install radiant barrier system with practical advantages during installation, inspection, and maintenance.
Spring-steel battens are built into the radiant barrier material, creating a roll-up system designed to fit between roof framing members. The battens' holding power increases over time.
Designed to install in as little as one-quarter of the time required by traditional staple-up radiant barriers, particularly when working in difficult-to-reach attic areas.
The reflective material contains small perforations that allow vapor movement and help limit trapped moisture. Correct installation maintains the intended attic ventilation pathways.
Individual sections can be removed and reinstalled for inspections, maintenance, cleaning, or repairs, without permanently fastening the material to roof decking or shingles.
Consult the official instructions before installing. These are general steps, not a replacement for the installation guide.
Measure the roof framing bays, confirm the correct 16-inch or 24-inch product width, and cut material to the required length. Keep ventilation openings unobstructed.
Position the radiant barrier between the roof framing members and secure it using the integrated spring-steel battens. Use the appropriate installation roller tool as directed.
Confirm battens are properly seated, inspect the installation for gaps or interference, and verify that soffit-to-roof ventilation pathways remain open.
Installation note: Solar-SNAP is a radiant barrier, not a replacement for conventional thermal insulation. Follow applicable building requirements and the manufacturer's instructions. Use care around electrical equipment, fixtures, and ventilation openings.
