UltraMean2 is a concentrated, sodium-percarbonate-based cleaner designed for washable interior and exterior surfaces. Its oxygen-based formula helps clean dirt, mildew stains, and other buildup from wood, composite decking, siding, and structural surfaces while helping reduce musty odors.

Frequently used in crawlspace and restoration work, UltraMean2 also serves as a cleaning and surface-preparation step before applying UltraBan or UltraBan PRO, following the applicable coating instructions.

CHOOSE THE RIGHT CLEANING STRENGTH

UltraMean2 concentration varies with the task. Use this published guidance as a starting point and test a small area before full application.

*The container label indicates that one 3 lb container can make up to 8 gallons at the applicable dilution. Actual yield and coverage depend on cleaning strength, surface condition, porosity, and technique. One full cap is approximately 4 ounces, per the published product guide.
Simple application process

FOUR STEPS TO A CLEANER SURFACE

Follow the application-specific instructions for your material and job conditions.

STEP 01

TEST & PREP

Confirm the surface is washable. Test a hidden area, protect adjacent materials, and remove loose dirt or debris.

STEP 02

MIX

Add UltraMean2 powder to clean water, not the reverse. Stir until fully dissolved; use the strength directed for your task.

STEP 03

APPLY & SCRUB

Apply with suitable equipment and allow appropriate dwell time without letting the solution dry; scrub stubborn areas as needed.

STEP 04

RINSE & DRY

Thoroughly rinse or wipe away the dirty solution. Allow the substrate to dry before any subsequent coating or treatment.

Handling & surface considerations

KNOW BEFORE YOU CLEAN

  • Wear appropriate skin and eye protection and follow product label and SDS precautions.
  • Do not mix UltraMean2 with other cleaning chemicals or products.
  • Test for colorfastness; use only on water-tolerant, washable materials.
  • Avoid wool, silk, leather, and materials that cannot tolerate water.
  • Keep unused powder sealed in a cool, dry location.
  • Discard mixed solution after its recommended working period (up to 3 hours); never store mixed solution in a sealed container because oxygen gas can develop.
Professional note: Cleaning alone does not resolve an underlying moisture problem. Identify and correct the moisture source, follow appropriate remediation procedures, and refer to the full UltraMean2 instructions for application-specific guidance.
